Leave a gift to The Oxfordshire Animal Sanctuary in your will. Leaving the charity a gift in your will is one of the most valuable and lasting ways you can support a cause you hold dear. It costs nothing during your lifetime but will have a powerful impact for years to come.
Your gift will enable us to continue the work of the Sanctuary as regards its development and the care of the animals entrusted to us.
If you already have a will it is very easy to add a charitable bequest. Very few words are needed to make what is known as codicil to your will, altering the provisions slightly without changing your whole will. Many people use this simple document to benefit their favourite charity.
If you do not yet have a will it is worth giving this consideration. Your will is one of the most important documents you will ever draw up. It sets out how you want your property and other assets to be dealt with after your death. A valid will brings peace of mind knowing that you have taken decisive action on something that is very important to you.
When writing your will there are three main ways you can support us:
- A percentage of your estate – after you have taken care of those you love then you can give a percentage of what is left to support your cause. For many charities this form of gift is the most valuable.
- A monetary gift, where you determine in advance an amount that you would like to contribute to OAS.
- A specific gift enables you to give an item of value, a piece of furniture, investments or land that will benefit OAS.
