Spring has definitely sprung – we’ve had a few glimpses of sunshine, the clocks have gone forward, and hopefully, you’ve managed to dodge any April Fools!
While we’ve been soaking up the lighter evenings, there’s been plenty of good news here at OAS.
A brilliant 50 animals flew the nest in March – and we couldn’t be happier for them all.
We kicked things off with a flurry of feline farewells. Bessie, a sweet 5-year-old black and white lady, went home on 1st March.
She was just the start – by the end of the month, another 33 cats had left the cattery for their forever homes.
Among them were Christopher & Princess, Phyliss, Madonna & Whitney, Demi & Dougie, Corky, Bruce, Shadow & Minnie, Finch & Raven, Cookie & Oreo, Gracie & Maximus, Reece, Fozzie, Pie, Sprout, Rupert & Marley, Heathcliff, Kevin, Inky, Splodge, Cara & Dora, Apple, Coco & Lobo, Betty, Regina and Jules.
Every one of them is special, but seeing one-eyed Sprout find his home after such a tough time really warmed our hearts.
Seven rabbits also bounced off to new beginnings – including the brilliantly named Señor Nibbles, along with Nibbles, Coco, The Coffee Buns and Bindi. 🐰
Over in kennels, our first goodbye was to Marley the gorgeous Lurcher.
He was followed by Ollie (another beautiful Lurcher, this one with a fabulous long coat), then Ted & Jessica, Lumi, Fidget, Teddy and Minnie.
What a month!
And we’re not stopping there – 10 more animals are already reserved and will be heading home this April.
We’ll fill you in next time.
Thanks as always to everyone who shares, supports and adopts. You’re making all the difference. 💛
