Love was in the air in February: 45 Animals Find Their Forever Homes!
February, the month of love, truly lived up to its name at The Oxfordshire Animal Sanctuary! We hope you’ve had a wonderful few weeks filled with warmth and adoration (and maybe even a few extra cuddles with your furry companions).
February may also be the shortest month of the year, and it certainly flew by – and what a month it has been!
Last month has been a whirlwind of wagging tails, purring bundles of joy, and heartwarming goodbyes as 45 of our beloved animals found their forever homes.
That’s 33 cats and kittens, plus 12 dogs, all starting a brand-new chapter thanks to the kindness of our adopters and supporters. Every single one of you plays a part in making this possible, and we couldn’t be more grateful.
Furry Tail Endings…
Vixen, a spirited 10-week-old kitten, was the first to set off on her new adventure, undoubtedly destined to rule her kingdom! Another incredible success story is Haze, who, after a long road to recovery from surgery last year, was officially adopted this month. Many of you followed her journey on social media, and we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the vets, vet nurses, OAS staff, and her devoted adopters who made her second chance possible.
Among the many other lucky felines who have joined the OAS alumni this month are Bella, Seville, Rdaley, Basil & Onion, Mya, Canary, Winter, Leonard & Louise, Shandy, Belle, Izzy, Sir Clive Salmon, Charlie, Dora & Cara, Molly, Phoebe, Dora, Mr Dott, Felix & Tigger, Ringo, Snake, Ted & Baker, Truffle, Jack, and Precious. Every single one of them is now safe and loved—thanks to you.
From Kennels to Cuddles
On the canine side, our first February success was Sasha, a playful six-month-old Lurcher, while at the other end of the spectrum, Tillie, a wise 12-year-old Jack Russell, found a cosy retirement home. However, the most heartwarming moment of the year so far was Jackson’s adoption. After three years in our care, this wonderful boy has finally found his perfect match. His adopters, after multiple visits and a trial stay, knew he was the one, and he is now settling in beautifully. Huge thanks to Dee and our dedicated canine team for their patience, training, and unwavering belief in Jackson’s future.
We also had an incredible day when four dogs—Dave, Honey, Rupert, and Cassey—all went home within a few hours! Along with Tramp, Maeve, Rolo, Lady, Bailey, and Winnie, these dogs are now enjoying the love and comfort they deserve. Special thanks to Honey and Lady’s adopters, who patiently waited through extensive vet checks to bring them home. Your dedication to giving these animals the best life possible means the world to us.
A Future Full of Hope
Thanks to our adopters, donors, and supporters, every day at OAS is a chance to change an animal’s life. Your generosity allows us to provide food, shelter, medical care, and love until each animal finds their home.
February was an incredible month, and March is already shaping up to be just as busy—we can’t wait to share the next round of happy endings with you!
From all of us at Oxfordshire Animal Sanctuary, thank you for making stories like these possible.
