Dottie came to our sanctuary after the sad passing of his human companion. Understandably, this has been a difficult transition for him. However, by providing Dottie with time and space to adjust to his new surroundings, we’ve had the joy of watching his personality blossom.
Mr Dott as he’s become known by the team here at the sanctuary loves his socialising time. He will instantly stroll out of his hide box for fuss, his favourite activity is to roll around on his back with his tummy exposed, this is a sign of trust and he will do it to those he has quickly built a relationship with.
Having long fur, he will need a dedicated human to help keep his coat in good condition. He is currently on a pain trial for mild arthritis to see if this helps to improve his ability to groom. If this is successful the monthly costs will be around £25 for his medication.
