Callie came into us as a stray from the dog warden in a terrible condition. She was incredibly underweight and had clearly been used as a breeding machine. Despite the neglect, she was instantly wanting cuddles and human contact from the kennel team.
Don’t let the photos deceive you, Callie is a big dog and can be incredibly strong. She had next to no manners when she first came in, but her kennel carers have been working hard to teach her that calmer behaviours reap more rewards!
New owners will need to continue her training in the home and out and about, but she is a very clever dog and is eager to please. She loves dog puzzles and games; her particular favourite is the wobble kong!
What Callie Needs from her Forever Home
Callie needs an understanding owner who will continue her training and keep her active both mentally and physically.
Because we have no history on her, she is looking for a new home with no children or other pets. She also gets very attached to people, so a home where someone is around for part or most of the day would be beneficial, especially whilst she settles into the home.
The condition she arrived in suggested to us that she had been living outside or in very poor conditions. Whilst her toileting habits are improving, she will require some house training in the home.

We’d love to introduce you to her!
