About Ronnie and Roxy
Ronnie and Roxy came to us through no fault of their own, as their owner sadly did not have enough time to give them. As a result, they are lacking in training and social skills so need an owner willing to put the time and patience into continuing their basic training and working on socialising, as they find being out on walks quite a worrying experience at the moment.
Although 2 years old, both dogs display puppy traits when they get over excited, and can be a bit silly. The team are working on correcting these behaviours, and they seem to love learning new things (mainly due to the yummy treats!).
They are both very friendly with people, but Ronnie in particular can be a little nervous on first meeting. They are generally much more confident around women, and love nothing more than endless amounts of cuddles and fuss.
What Ronnie and Roxy Need from their Forever Home
They are currently on our training scheme, and have been attending sessions with our behaviourist. Potential adopters will need to speak with our behaviourist prior to adoption and may be required to attend some training sessions pre and post adoption; some of which may be in the home.
These two are very energetic, so will need a home where they will get plenty of exercise and mental stimulation to keep them busy. They don’t like being left for long periods, so a home where the owners are around a lot would be ideal.
Ronnie and Roxy have previously lived with children, so they could potentially join a family with dog savvy children aged 10 and over, providing that the whole family gets involved in their training to maintain consistency.
