Victoria Martinelli - Seville Marathon

On February 17th 2019, Victoria Martinelli (one of our amazing dog walkers) is running the Seville Marathon to raise money for the Sanctuary.

Training for this marathon has been a big challenge and a lot of hard work and determination.

Early mornings, cold rainy days and uphill struggles have made it far from easy, but I am slowly making my way to that finish line.

Who knows how long it will take or if I will be crawling across it!

Either way getting to the end is the aim and being able to raise money for the sanctuary will be the biggest gain.

I have been a volunteer dog walker here for over 18 months and see first hand the exceptional work that the team do. All the dogs and cats appear with a sad story or sometimes no story at all, either found as a stray, left abandoned or abused.

Although they may arrive alone, unwanted and uncared for they certainly leave the sanctuary healthy, happy and loved.

An important part of taking the dogs out is to get them used to different people and build on their trust. It means a lot to be able to help them on their journey.

Each with their own funny ways and personality. As you can imagine they have all found a special place in my heart.

All they want is a safe, warm place to call home and any money donated will help them to find it and in return, they will bring joy and happiness to their new family and new home.

Please note: When donating to this fundraising campaign, we use a one-off direct debit, this is not monthly. This reduces the cost of processing the payment to 1%, meaning we get 99% of the donation!
