Do you have any kittens? Can I book one or more?

Please call us on 01865 890239 to ask if we have kittens.

You must visit us in order to view and reserve kittens.

Please note that kittens can be adopted from 8 weeks old but they will not be neutered or vaccinated so you’ll need to arrange this with your vet.

How long until I can take my adopted animal home?

Once you have reserved an animal, they will be checked by our vets to ensure they go home happy and healthy.

When you reserve an animal, our staff will let you know when the vet check takes place (normally a Tuesday).

We ask you to call us after 2 pm on the day of the vet check to find out if they have been passed the health check, then we can arrange a collection time.

This can be from the day after the vet check.

So, it can sometimes be a few days from your first visit if you are adopting a cat or rabbit but for dogs, the process can take a few weeks.

Do you have any dogs that can live with children?

We take your safety very seriously and dogs are assessed as to their suitability to live with children.

Please read the dog adoption pages carefully to see if the individual dog can live with children.

Do you accept duvets, towels, sheets for animal bedding?

Not any more.

We’ve been fortunate enough to have so much bedding donated to us, we have filled all available storage spaces and have enough for over a year.

We have also invested in laundry equipment over the past few years and as a result, we reuse 90% of our bedding which is much better for the environment and also saves money on waste costs.

We do have goats here. They are our sponsor animals and are not available for rehoming.

Unfortunately, we don’t have enough space for any more farm animals on our site.

Rescue 1 question
I need to give up my pet(s). Can I bring them to you?

We are unable to take in animals immediately or at short notice because we manage a waiting list for animals coming into us.

If you need us to take in your dog(s), cat(s) or rabbit(s), please email us at info@oascharity.org.uk.

We will send you a questionnaire, which you need to complete and return to us.

This helps us understand their needs and whether we can provide the right level of care for them at the Sanctuary.
