Misty is Settling in Very Well

Here at OAS we love to hear how our rescues are getting on, from their first night to their first year in your home.

β€œMisty is settling in very well and is a massive chatterbox! Constantly investigating everything, and everyone, around, she has certainly been a handful at times – to our delight I must add.

I have to thank everyone at OAS for their help and support in the run-up to my adoption of Misty. I came in on a cold Sunday afternoon to have a look, but without an intention of immediately finding myself a cat but I saw her and I immediately knew I couldn’t let her go somewhere else, she had to come home with me.

My whole family have greatly enjoyed having Misty around, and lavished her with love and affection – to the point that sometimes I think I’m not her favourite anymore!

She definitely loves the wide open spaces available to her, both inside and out, and has loved all of the toys and teddies received from family and friends. Her favourite thing, though, appears to be the cardboard boxes from deliveries – despite the nice comfy cat beds that can be found nearby!!

To anyone who is considering rescuing and animal, I have to encourage you to do just that. We have adopted our cats in my family consistently for as long as I can remember and there’s not a more rewarding experience out there. Yes, you will have to be as patient as a saint at times, but watching your animal become more confident and caring than you could have ever imagined is such a reward and stays with you forever. Please, please adopt!”
