Yesterday was a very sad day for all of us here at OAS, sadly we had to say goodbye to a much loved resident.
Sadly Herbie had been having health issues for some time and despite the very best efforts of all our dedicated staff and our vets there was nothing we could do to make things right again.
Herbie had been with us for many years and lived a lovely life surrounded by people that loved him. He was certainly top cat of the sanctuary and made sure that everyone knew it!! He was a fond favourite amongst the staff and would often sit with us on our lunch breaks. Mainly to see what little treats he could be given. He even managed to win our Lisa round to feeding him and looking after him she is a cat person really!!
It will be so quiet without him around but his memory will live on. Will miss your unique meow and you grumbling at us when we gave you too many cuddles.
