Adoption Update – May & June 2021

Hi everyone,

May and June saw lots of animals going to their new homes.

18 rabbits were rehomed during this period including the adorable Netherland Dwarf Kilby, who came to us from another rescue shelter. We’ve taken in lots of rabbits recently, many of which are only able to live indoors so we’ve had to use spaces in our cattery for them.

Several dogs with behavioural needs have been successfully rehomed as has Skye, a lovely Staffie who needed a cruciate leg operation plus several hydrotherapy sessions to properly recover.

And cats remain in high demand, as has been the case this past year. 35 have been rehomed since the start of May. As always, the vast majority of these cats needed to be neutered and vaccinated before they went home. Several also needed extensive dental treatment too.

Thanks to all our supporters for helping us to gets these little ones safely into homes. And thanks to everyone who has adopted from us recently, particularly those who’ve had to make changes to their homes and gardens in order to meet the needs of their new pet. We sincerely appreciate how much effort you all put into making sure they’re happy and safe.
