You're safe now little ones 💖

Bill & Ben arrived at the sanctuary on Tuesday morning after a traumatic few days. 💔

They were found on a roadside after being abandoned in a carrier in Hemel Hempstead. 💔

Both the boys were in an awful state, they were covered from head to paw in urine and faeces. Their finder called various vets and rescues for help but sadly, everyone was in the same boat and nowhere had any spaces. 🥺

Thankfully, their finder didn't give up and she kept calling as many places as she could and that's when she called OAS and we were able to help. ❤️

Bill & Ben are understandably a little reserved and rightly so, we don't know what they've been through but at least they are safe. 🥰

Thank you so much to all involved for getting them the help they needed ❤️

We currently have two gorgeous young dogs at the sanctuary looking for their forever homes. 😍

These two are looking for individual special homes due to their lack of socialisation at this important stage of their life. 🥺

Both dogs are wary of new people and sometimes find life very overwhelming. 💔

Due to this, they will need dedicated adopters who are prepared to put in the work and deal with any challenges that arise. Potential adopters will need to come to the sanctuary multiple times to meet either dog. 🐶

Both Penny and Poppy are wonderful dogs that will thrive with guidance but due to their nature, they will need specific homes at this time. 🙏

Do you have the following type of home 🏡
✅️ A private secure garden with a minimum of 4ft fencing.
✅️ An adult-only home.
✅️ Could potentially live with another dog who is already neutered and has an easygoing nature.
Resident dogs will need to be tolerant of puppies that can also be nervous.
✅️ Experience with nervous dogs is beneficial.

URGENT Foster Home Needed 💖

We are currently in need of a foster home for Bambi. ❤️

She joined the OAS family last week after her family was moving home. She's only 10 months old and you've guessed it she’s pregnant!! She's only a kitten herself and the whole situation is heartbreaking. 💔

Fostering is so rewarding but at the same time, it can be emotionally difficult, especially when they are ready to fly the nest. 😍

Duties will include:
🐈 Being there to support her through labour
🐈 Following a socialisation plan
🐈 Litter training
🐈 Weaning the kittens
🐈 Giving oral worming medication every two weeks
🐈 Giving lots of cuddles

The sanctuary will provide everything they need whilst in your care. 🐾

We are looking for someone who can offer the following:

✅ Pet-free home or a spare room
✅ Cat savvy children
✅ A safe space within the home
✅ Someone who will be around most of the day
✅ Previous fostering experience of pregnant cats would be great but not essential.

All foster carers must be able to drive to the sanctuary and in the event of an emergency travel to The Hart Veterinary Centre in Bicester & Aylesbury

Being an older chap Max will need a sunny sofa space and a family that understands that although young at heart and full of beans Max cannot frolic as much as he would like. 🥺

💔 Please help Ghost & Vinnie 💔

Last week we had two cats handed into our care who urgently needed our help.

Ghost & Vinnie were matted from head to paw. Poor Vinnie was so badly matted that he wasn't able to pass normal faeces. This consequently caused an infection and a very sore bottom. 🥺

Ghost has a cherry eye which will need surgery to correct this. He was equally badly matted and needed a full-body De-matt. 💔

These boys are nothing less than adorable and instantly have lots of love to give to their human caregivers. 😻

Ghost will need to undergo corrective surgery for his Cherry Eye and we hope that no lasting damage has been done to Vinnie but time will tell. 🙏

We are estimating that between the care they have already received and their future treatment, we need to raise around £1800

Massive thanks go out to our wonderful vets The Hart Veterinary Centre in Bicester & Aylesbury for rushing them in for their emergency De-matts and all the hours it took them to shave every inch of fur off of their bodies.

Earlier this afternoon we had a black female dog handed to us after being found on The Green in Stadhampton.

Sadly, the microchip hasn't been registered so we are unable to contact her human companions. 💔

Special Appeal for Sheldon ❤️

Sheldon arrived at the sanctuary as a stray. We have no information as to whether he has ever lived in a home before. 🥺

He's a worried lad and hasn't made any progress here at the sanctuary despite our team trying their very best. He will spend most of the day hiding and does not attempt to socialise with any of the team. 💔

The dilemma we are in is if we are dealing with a cat who is so worried by the cattery environment or if he's used to living as a semi-feral and doesn't want to be socialised with. 🐈

With this in mind, we are looking for a very special home. A home where he can decide if he wants to be around people or one that can offer him a rural environment where he will be fed and cared for and potentially bring you the odd present or two. 🐾

Sheldon is sociable with other cats so he could potentially live with another cat or two. Due to how worried he can be, he would be better suited to an adult-only home. 🏠

Big Bang Bunnies…. When will they find their forever home 💔

We’ve had the pleasure of watching these four handsome lads grow from tiny kits who came into our care with their Mum Penny and Dad Leonard, into the loveable buns they are today. 🥰

They are the most adorable bunnies!! They are very confident and will hop on over to see what treats you have for them. Not only that but they are great at assisting you when cleaning their enclosure!! 🤭

We would love nothing more than for the boys to remain as a quad but we understand this is a huge ask… if we don’t try though, we will never know… Adopting all four will be so rewarding. 😍

They are looking for a home that meets the RWAF minimum housing standards of no less than 3m x 2m x 1m. 🙏
